Hungry
Skyprincess loves to grill. Grilling, for my family, was a special occasion. Fourth of July. Thanksgiving (yes, I prefer bar-b-que to turkey). Memorial Day. Just special holidays.
I thought it odd one of my peers at the timber company grilled all the time. He would come in Monday with chicken he had grilled over the weekend. He loved grilling. I think that was the only way he knew how to cook.
Skyprincess had been asking for a grill for a while, and I'm a softie who can't say no to her. So we went and bought an inexpensive gas grill. I think it's very nice. It's not the $1500 monster we saw, but it does the job.
My opinion on grilling has changed quickly. I love grilling. Well... I love Skyprincess's grilling. The one item I love the most is grilled corn on the cob. Nothing better. Peel back the husk and get all the stringy stuff off the corn. I'm sure it has a name. Corn silk, or something like that. All I know is that it's a mess.
Then pull the husk back over the corn and throw on the grill. Rub it with butter. Give it a nice coating of salt and pepper, and nothing is better!
Not long ago, Skyprincess grilled some lamb-ka-bobs. They were so good! Here's it is off the skewer.
