The future's so bright, I got to wear shades

Infinite, clean energy.  Sounds like a pipe dream, doesn't it?  Seems like it might be just around the corner.  China is about to test the first fusion powered reactor.  Why is this significate?  Unlike nuclear power plants, it produces no nuclear wastes.  It doesn't produce polution like coal burning plants.  It doesn't destroy vast amounts of land that building dams do.  And it doesn't require acres and acres of land for wind farms.

I hope this works.  If it does, I hope US energy companies will copy the design.  For some reason, I doubt it will happen.
