Just ran across an article discussing the weirdest job seeker stunts. What people have actually done in order to gain a job.

I was wondering what have any of you guys done or heard done to land a job? We've all heard the urban legend of being offered a blow job for a job, but I've never known anyone where that has actually happened. Whether they are the receiver or the giver.

For me the weirdest was as a teenager I was interviewing for a job at KMart. One of the duties was to clean the restrooms. I was desperate to land the job, and when they asked if I had any problems cleaning bathrooms I broke out into the 'my mom makes me clean them at home. and my brothers have really bad aim. so it can get messy after a while. so i'm use to messy people.' I didn't get the job.

Here are some of the stunts. If you ask me, they aren't that extreme. I would have liked a better list. Although one of them sounds like Sean Young's audition for the role of Catwoman.

* Asked the interviewer out to dinner
* Brought coffee for the entire office
* Asked for another interview after being told that the job was filled
* Called incessantly for weeks before and after the position was filled
* Wore a tuxedo.
* Used a celebrity official fan site as one of their portfolio accomplishments.
* Brought a baby gift to the interviewer who was pregnant.
* Sat next to the hiring manager in a church pew.
* Left Yankee tickets for the interviewer.
* Sent a nude photo of himself to the hiring manager.
* Tried to do a stand-up comedy routine.
* Waited for the hiring manager at his car.
* Came dressed as a cat.
* Said they "smiled on command."
